PROJECT LAUNCH: BUILDING CAPACITY FOR BETTER GOVERNANCE AND SOCIAL RESEARCH IN AFRICA

A consultative workshop will be held on February 19-23, 2010 in Nairobi to mark the formal launch of DFID's initiative 'Building Capacity for Better Governance and Social Research in Africa.' The project aims to address the main causes of declining capacity in African political and social science research output, and involves design, development and implementation of several complementary "programme" elements over an initial phase of 5 years.
